I'll take Great Escape & Stalag 17 way before any of the other titles mentioned in this thread.

2 more very good movies I would upgrade. As good comedies come along I'll certainly buy the Blu Ray if it's a must own. But upgrading existing comedies would be few and far between. War movies and Sci-Fi are the two genres I'd most like to upgrade. Sci-Fi is a perfect match and so many war movies got substandard treatment the first time, BD would be a huge jump.

All I have is a DVD-r of that so will definately upgrade. Recently upgraded Behind Enemy Lines and Dirty Dozen.

Already have Battle of The Bulge, Bridge Too Far, Black Hawk Down, Full Metal Jacket, Flags Of Our Fathers, Letters From Iwo Jima, Spartacus, Troy, We Were Soldiers, 300, HArts War, and U-571

Definately want Saving Private Ryan, Platoon, Gettysburg, Tora,Tora,Tora, Memphis Belle, Midway and the R rated cut of Pearl Harbor

'Midway' would be great!
I'd really like to see 'Mr. Roberts' go blu too.

I haven't seen that movie in ages. I do have a redux copy on my shelf that I'd gladly upgrade when available in hi-def

Yeah, and hopefully with BD resolution, Coppolla will finally let us have it in the true aspect ratio.

I'm not sure it's Coppola's call though. I think it's Vittorio Storaro who wants it that way. If The Last Emperor is any indication, that policy won't change for HD.
