Truth

Not a big Dan Rather fan but more of a Brokaw guy back in the day.

Edge of Tomorrow
I don't know why it took me this long to watch the above, but I loved it! Loved Cruise and Blunt in this movie.

The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

Decent 1-time only watch. I enjoyed the special FX, but most of the story was a lot of mumbo jumbo. Like Diesel on the Fast and Furious movies, but I thought he was horribly miscast as some immortal witch hunter.

Tough to watch from both the tragic ending to the towers perspective as well as the heights. If they were still around they could have used some real shots instead of entirely CGI. Too bad with these you never know how much was embellished for the sake of the movie.

Black Mass (2015)

Pretty good crime thriller about the life of James "Whitey" Bulger

Although I thought Johnny Depp's makeup looked horrendous.

The Assassin (2015)

Visually stunning Chinese period drama that takes place in 9th century China. Although this movie isn't for everyone to be honest, even fans of the genre. It moves at a really slow pace.

Never seen this before. Turned out I really enjoyed it and was worth what I paid for it. Oh, great soundtrack as well.

Haven't seen it in a while but I've been going through all the Guest-directed stuff lately. The songs are so great in this movie - even the ones during the credits. Can't wait to see Guest's upcoming "Mascots" with the same cast.

Also I can't believe this movie had to come out in the "Archive Collection".

Glad it was a rental. That was an unneeded reboot or sequel if there ever was one

The Martian

It was really long and probably as long as an NFL game.

How come all movies now are 2hrs?

Cop Land. I forgot how good this was after seeing it again after several years.

The subject matter is still relevant today and rare you get movies loaded with all-star casts these days.

Never have I wanted to pound two actors (well, three, counting the mime) in their faces until they lost consciousness like I wanted to after watching this debacle. In case you didn't infer it, I found this to be one of the worst films that I've ever seen.

Re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Scenes from a Mall came out in 1991. Time flies.

99 Homes

Michael Shannon gives another great performance and Andrew Garfield when he is not playing Spider-man is pretty good.

Re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

an R rated take on some Eagle Scouts along with a stripper fighting a zombie outbreak. Pretty fun and funny. A nice addition to the genre with a few unique additions

The 33 (2015): Very TV Movie of the week-ish, but overall it wasn't bad. Certainly wouldn't watch it again let alone own it.

Freaks of Nature (2015): Thought this was kind of stupid, but fun horror-science fiction-comedy. Super silly and very over the top.

Extraction (2015): Watchable, but ultimately forgettable straight to video movie with Bruce Willis playing a small supporting role part. Lutz and Gina Carano are really the stars here. The movie runs barely 83 minutes.
