Evil Dead 2013. interesting but flat, really lacking that psychological edge.

Stake Land. Some crummy production values, some bad scoring, but overall a very good story.

Not sure why I pulled this out but I love the presentation on HD. For those of us that watched the Apollo 11 moonlanding and remember vividly the Apollo 13 disaster it's even more nostalgic. One of favorite films of all time and a great reason to keep the HD player going since the BR is DNR'd to death.

Pain & Gain. A lot better than what I expected though Anthony Mackie was wearing a 2007 Dolphins jersey when the movie was set in 94-95.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Can't believe I'm going to say this but it wasn't worth the $1.66 upgrade. Already had the HD DVD versions but picked up the trilogy on Blu with a U&S coupon time before last. There always seemed to be an audio sync problem in the scene where Danny gets taken into the room to get beat up. The audio seemed a split second late. The Blu has the same issue and is limited to DD 5.1 sound. Very disappointed.

Forgot how long ago this came out. Sigourney was quite the box at 50

Boardwalk Empire: Season 3 - Episodes 9-12

Kind of limped along for the last few episodes, like they didn't quite have enough story to fill the time slots. Still, a very enjoyable season as always.

it wasn't really FUNNY as much as it was silly, but the Incredible Burt Wonderstone wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. Buscemi and Carrell were fairly poor in it, but Carrey did deliver the goods.
