Having no personal nostalgic attachment to it, it just came across as a very desperate and very dated sex comedy. Woody Allen, in one of his first on camera movie performances, came off best next to a "hubba hubba" cameo from Ursula Andress. "The Eiger Sanction" from http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...0,160,0,T_.jpg Clint's tough guy scowl frequently seems like self parody here and is not helped by the inane cloak and dagger spy caper shenanigans. You can also see the 'mystery villain' coming at least two acts in advance. The mountain climbing sequences were kind of cool though and the scenery was beautiful. But it's all too easy to see why Eastwoods Indiana Jones-like Professor Hemlock never became a franchise character. The Region B Universal release could often look dazzling, but almost consistently had a slightly edgy, digital signature to it. |

we found it quite humorous. In spite of her reputation as being a bitch to other chicks that may want her man I still find Leslie Mann the sexiest out of the three. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...NL._AA160_.jpg Another teenage/young adult post apocolyptic war game end of world |

First 3D movie I've watched in full at home. The glasses I was using were good as far as ghosting and xtalk, but the flicker was aggressive and that + the physical discomfort of the glasses made it somewhat fatiguing. Overall though, the imagery was much better than when I saw it at the theater. I watched a few scenes afterwards with a different brand of glasses and emitter and ghosting was a little more apparent, but in every other way they were much more comfortable. As for the movie itself- I enjoyed it at the theater, but now it's hippy-dippy pandering is starting to rub me the wrong way. I'm sure Cameron will make an entertaining sequel, but right now I'm completely apathetic to it. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...SL._AA160_.jpg I'm still trying to figure out how a film that seems so compelling and entertaining as it's unspooling can feel so much slighter and perfunctory after it's over. Everything seemed solid across the board. Great performances from everyone, including Fishburne whom I don't normally warm to. And Soderbergh did a fine job juggling the logistics. But something was missing. Maybe it was just that it wasn't ultimately as nihilistic as an apocalyptic tale should be. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...gL._AA160_.jpg I'm feeling some urgency now to blow through my Criterion blind buys, because if I don't like them, I want to make sure to get them up for sale before Amazon cuts us small potato sellers off. Watched the first short on disc 1 "Rupture" and I think I'm going to be just fine taking my time with this set. Very charming, and very funny, short that is over long before it can wear out its welcome. |

I remember watching it on HBO back in 1995. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/W5NajWMjtDo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Transformers Age of Extinction 2 hours and 45 minutes???? Why????? Revenge of the Nerds Third Person. The movie was kind of boring though if you like Olivia Wilde she shows her assets. http://cbsq104.files.wordpress.com/2...0&h=349&crop=1 http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/04...43_500X500.jpg http://scene7.targetimg1.com/is/imag...id=410&hei=410 |
