Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

It's pretty good overall. Couple that with getting the first four movies in HD and I'd say it's worth the 20 or so dollars it typically sells for, although I haven't actually played any of the movie discs yet.
Just beware of the shitty packaging with the discs in little cardboard sleeves; you have to reach in there and grab the disc to yank it out, and the fourth movie was actually glued to the sleeve and had a big glob of glue on it that I had to carefully remove with scotch tape after I managed to pull it out.

Space Battleship Yamato. Live action, newly released in US Japanese movie. At least 30 minutes too long, needed more space battles and needed the damn theme song sung instead of a few orchestoral cues.

Since I've seen Sorcerer (though not the new Bd yet), once the trek starts, tension was never there as, unlike Kaufman's Invasion Of The Body Snatchers a year later, Freidkin unfortunately hits just about all same beats as the original without providing anything significantly new- apart from the beginning before they get to the jungle. Despite the lack of suspense the film was still plenty enjoyable and it was easy to see why this would have developed such a reputation especially early on. Beautiful looking film too, with some stunning shots I wasn't expecting.
The Decameron from

Had started it the other night and got to about the middle of the third vignette when I was forced to quit. Was enjoying it quite a bit and looking forward to finishing it. Picked it up again last night from the point I left off and it played like an entirely different movie. The ribald, picaresque nature of the first couple stories was replaced by passages that were either obtuse or overly indulgent for too little pay off. Ultimately disappointed, but still optimistically anticipating the other films and the supplements to clue me in on what I must have missed.

It's funny, when they finally get around to the Death Race, it's the least interesting thing about the movie, nowhere near as good as the racing in the first one. But everything else is pretty good, the bank heist and the Death Match, and I like how they actually used the prequel concept to flesh out some of the secondary characters from the first one.
It's nothing spectacular but it's far above average for a DTV sequel. I've got the third one sitting on my shelf, and I'll be watching it soon.

That Awkward Moment
That Miles Teller guy thinks he is funny but he is not.
Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones
The acting is terrible but the special effects and the fight scenes look great in HD.

And now this one's watched:

Pretty good, again. Better than Part 2 in some ways and worse in some ways. Both of them are pretty entertaining follow-ups to the first one, without ever being quite as good.

Had an X-Men marathon with my daughter before seeing DOFP today. She loved them all, and DOFP was great.

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn from

Wonderful film. First time seeing it, and it's already on the list of all time favorites.
PQ was, for the overall majority of the film, brilliant and frequently breath-taking. I'm hard pressed to think of another B&W film that looks this good. It is so slick and clear that you think it has to be the product of some aggressive DNR scrubbing, but there doesn't appear to be any fine detail missing. Pin sharp and rock solid stable. For the quality of the content as well as the presentation, this is about as good as it gets.

Should have read the IMDB review of 5.5 before renting this movie. Had some good people but to call it derivative is an insult to derivative film-making

That artwork for X-Men First Class looks different and better from the one I bought in 2011.
