Not normally a fan of digi-books at all, but that one looks really nice. Perhaps it's the black.

Wow, this is awesome. Everything I wanted and more. The digibook looks really nice as well.

Now I'm just hoping that it hasn't been Friedkin-ized like The French Connection.

Looks like a very nice release. One of my fav films of all time (the original, that is...sorry Lemmy ) Regardless of price, this is a day 1 purchase.

That looks really nice. So far I only have one Blu-ray in the "book-style packaging" (North By Northwest), but it looks like I'll be adding another to the collection!

Seriously WB...*sigh* Just put both cuts on there. Who the fuck runs the dept. that lets shit like this happen? I've never even seen the theatrical. All i've seen is TVYNS...and..with those inserted elements...I didn't like them. Just if they took them out..I'm sure it'd be a better film. I liked what I saw but...those scenes have to be cut.

I'm not normally a fan of Digipacks but I will admit this one, Poltergeist and Willy Wonka all look pretty cool.

re: The Exorcist

I just watched The French Connection and I can live with the color. It's all that grain and a few soft spots that I hate. What was it Friedkin said, he liked the grain. And then after Fox had started distributing the BDs, he changed his mind and hated the grain. We should call Fox and ask about when a replacement plan will take effect? Point out what Paramount is doing for Gladiator. Hope he doesn't mess Exorcist up.

re: The Exorcist

FWIW....when I was in Walmart tonight, they already had the shelf price tags up for the new releases tomorrow, and they will have The Exorcist for only $19.99.....

Obviously, as Walmart goes, YMMV....but still, that beats Amazon's current price by $4 and BB's advertised price by $5....

The WM website shows the digibook...but who knows until you actually see it. Might be worth checking out.
