Another Word of Warning - James Bond Collections...
Looks like MGM/Fox is at it again!

Apparently they are in "book" form where you flip through the pages and grab the discs...held by foam dots. Unknown if the case is bigger then a normal BD case, but looking at my Omen Collection they look to be the same.
Ugh. At least all of these are available individually since its such a grab bag of films and if you want to put them in order you can't with the book form..

Pretty weak...at least they're on some kind of hubs, but I have nightmare visions of the BSG HDDVD sets.
I'm more pissed about the mish-mash selections of these releases. I paid around $7/each for the newest versions on DVD, gonna be hard to pony up this much cash until they get a complete set out.

The foam dots have been added because a lot of discs have been getting cracked in the middle when inserting the disc back in the hub. The foam helps to soften that somewhat but it's still pretty useless if you ask me.

Ewww...those box sets just look gross....I thought they would just throw the standard three individual Blu-ray releases into a box for these "volume" releases...no one will be able to organize them in chronological order now.....oh well, looks like it will be individual releases for me in the future!

I have to admit, the Ultimate Editions of my SD sets are damn good. Won't be upgrading for years, unless a new packaging for the Blu-ray titles comes out.

I have the whole collection already and the only one I ever watch is Casino Royale on Blu. I hate to part with that much money for movies I probably will never watch.

Why can't these idiots just do what Anime manufacturers do. Make a friggin' box that's totally cool, include a goddamn movie with it, saving room for maybe 4 other movies, then make another friggin' Volume 2 box and so on, letting people collect the individual titles along the way.

GizmoDVD, I know that you got a lot of flak, unnecessarily in my opinion, regarding your Matrix Word of Warning thread, but I really appreciate you bringing this to my attention.
I hate this packaging, and I refuse to buy it. Since it looks like the '6-Pack' Amazon bundle is just bundling two of these volumes bundles, I have gone back to ordering only the Connery films individually.

As for the BB steelbooks...is that confirmed? I know we saw pictures, but is this likely to be a Futureshop exclusive? We have not gotten a single BD/HD steelbook in America yet

I can still recall seeing "You Only Live Twice" at the Re-Grand Opening of the RKO Orpheum in Champaign MANY years ago. Those were the days with a huge screen and decent sound, albeit Mono and Stereo, but at least the Orpheum and the Virginia had been former Vaudeville theatres and had a huge screen.
That flashes me back to seeing "Empire Strikes Back" and that opening on Hoth....better than Bullit's Mustang in San Francisco!
