i just thought of something i wonder if the reasoning behind the December release date for the fantasia blurays isnt to tie in with the Home video release for Sorcerers Apprentice.
SA comes to theatres in July so it makes sense that it would most likely hit stores in December probably the same week that we saw Gforce on blu last year.
iam still hating that we arent getting it this spring. but if they moved it back to tie in with the live action S.A. Blu/DVD release then that atleast makes sense.

Dumbo came out on DVD in Singapore this week. If everything follows like they normally do out here, the Blu-Ray should follow two to three weeks later.

someone on youtube posted in 7 parts the new Dumbo 1080p transfer.
iam airing on the side of caution and not posting the link here since i am not sure how the mods feel about posting such youtube links that actually show the whole movie.
I will say this though It looks beautifully stunning.

I atteneded last nights opening night panel that kick started of the two week limited run Of Fantasia 2000 at Disney/Pacifics El Capitan Theatre, It was noted on the Panel Q&A discussion that the Diamond Collection edition of Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 were originally to be released next month (hence the reason why the two week run at el cap had been scheduled for this month,they went on to say that they will DEFINATELY both be released in November of this year, to tie in with the Home video release of S.A.
nothing was mentioned of Dumbo (but not surprising seeing as how this was a Fantasia panel, and dumbo had its own panel last month when it played at El Cap.)
the picture was the best i have ever seen fantaisa 2000 look, (this includes when i saw it durring its IMAX run back in 1999) Especially Sorcerers Apprentice which has previously been the weak link in terms of PQ durring Fanatsia 2000's original run, Also let me add that Destino is something to behold, cant wait to have these in my hands.
On a side note if you are someone who has an intrest in El capitans classic animated limited engagements for the rest of the year,
El capitans operating Manger mentioned to me when i asked,
That Beauty and The beast will have a 2 week limited engagement in Sept at El capitan
and The original Fantasia will have a 2 week limited engagement in October just before the next limited engagement of TNBXMAS.
If you live in hollywood or near by definately stop by sometime in the next 2 weeks and check it out cause, you are in for a treat.

That's for that update, Amity! I wish I could see Fantasia 2000 on the big screen again but I'm working in Singapore off & on til June. I'm definitely going to be the first in line for Fantasia in October! I haven't seen it on the big screen since the 50th Anniversary.

Fantasia 2000 is the sequel to Fantasia. They are two different movies.

Thats one of the things i love about living in Hollywood, is getting to see the Animated classics on the big screen at El Capitan, right before they re release them on home video.
I especially love the opening night panels they allways put togeather to kick off the limited re engagements.

depends on the movie, but on the average is around 10.00 for matinee 12.00 for evening for regular seating.
Event movies though (such as the upcomming Alice in Wonderland and Prince of persia) do carry a 13 matinee price and 15 dollar evening ticket price.
and includes a live pre show Prolouge(stage show) and live organist playing for the 30 mins before the start of the Prolouge. not to mention a very cool curtain call before the start of the film.
even with all that included they are about average with most movie theatres in the Hollywood area,
