They added fake nicks and scratches to simulate the experience of beat-up 35mm film prints, but that has nothing to do with the resolution of the image.
I'd like to see those nicks and scratches and everything behind them in the best clarity that I can, thank you very much.

There was a lot in the script that wasn't in the extended version. I'm not sure if it was even filmed.
Pam and Arlene have a scene together, Pam gets stood up by her date which is why she ends up in the bar etc.
Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait for the "Super-Mega Platinum Edition" due out next year.

Son of a BITCH. First Austin Powers, now these. So, anyone have anything they would love to see on BD? Let me know and I'll run out and get the DVD, so it's guaranteed to be announced within 2 weeks .

I am not buying these until the full theatrical cut is available in blu, besides the dvds look very good on my PS3.

Tell, it needs to be noted that "The Whole Bloody Affair" has never been released anywhere. Most of what we know about it has been gathered from rumors and little pieces of information cobbled together from various sources.
Without spoiling anything, TWBA is essentially the two movies cut together, with one sequence that's black & white in the theatrical version presented in full color. There may be other small changes, but it doesn't sound like there's any major differences other than that.
Nevertheless, for copyright purposes, "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" is a separate entity than either "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" or "Kill Bill, Vol. 2". That's why Weinstein can own TWBA while Disney owns the other two.

I guess it's a good point that these might be worth having due to the fact that they're both extended, but I can only imagine a later release with the theatrical version will be a multi-disc set that also includes these.

Already have the 2-disc R1 exclusive steelbooks of both of these from Best Buy. I Like the 70's campy "dirty & scratched" look of 'em.....no need for these on Blu-ray.

That 'dirty scratched look' looks even better in HD... I thought the broadcast HD version was a noticeable improvement over the DVDs, so I expect the blu-ray to be just as good.

Who's to say that it's going to come out anytime soon. People have been waiting for the Kill Bill super edition for how long?
I know the difference between the two is that at least one version of Grindhouse has already been released I'm still not holding my breath.

Isnt there a Steelbook or something oversea's with both editions on them? (were talking about Grindhouse - this thread has soooo many different topics going on at the same time. )

Are these still coming out? Amazon no longer has them available for pre-order, no listing at DD either.

Just an FYI, Starz has been running the Theatrical Cut of Grindhouse... With trailers and intermission ads.
Last Thurs. it was on the HD station. I think the next time it's on is 11/15... Just saying.
