I really like the steelbooks but my shelf space is coming at a premium these days. Now if they would give us ultimate sets including the steelbook, busts or skulls, and other stuff then I would be in for sure.

If Best Buy does get exclusive Bond Steelbooks, what's the chance that they'll be region free? Probably not good since they'll be Fox/MGM releases. Aren't they all region coded?

Best Buy does have a pre-order for them. If you look at their online listing, they have 2 separate SKU code for each bond blu-ray. One of them has a picture that matches all the other store. The other one without the picture, I'll wager is the Steelbook version.

From Russia With Love Blu-ray at Best Buy

Thanks,

When futureshop have steelbook editions they clearly announce it, I'm not sure if I want to order these discs unaware if they are steelbooks...
Does BestBuy US even ship to Canada?

edit: I can even create an accound because I'm outside US.

Let me know if there's a way to get these disc in Canada.

Thanks.

I got lucky and got each Bond Steelbook for $14.99 - racking up for about $90.00 for all six!

No luck needed. There are two different $10 blu ray coupons in BB. One for listening to a Magnolia Home Theater Department blu ray sales pitch, the other in the $5 video game pre-buy of Quantum of Solace.

Also don't forgot that they include $10.50 in movie cash, so the net is either $4.50 or $9.50 depending on which coupons you find.

I used to think I loved Steelbooks. I have about 25 DVD Steelbooks. Now, I just got my first Blu-ray Steelbooks (all 6 Bonds) and I have to say that love just isnt the word. These things are fucking fantastic. Strange what a piece of packaging can do for ya... I mean it really has gotten me excited about collecting all the Bond films on BD. If not for them Steelbooks I would have picked them up here and there as i went... with no particular urgency.

Studios should become more and more aware of this... Steelbooks are simply the way to go as far as special edition packaging is concerned. Its time for Blu-ray, in the US, to get them as frequently as everyone else.

Amen to that. I had no plans on picking up the Roger Moore Bonds but I went back today and got them just because of the packaging. Also helps that I got it for 14.99 as well.

Yep, I had no intention to triple dip on the Bond movies, especially since I don't think I've watched the first set more than once each, let alone my double dips of just a year or so ago.

But for $5 net, I couldn't resist the exclusive/steelbook allure.
