Just went to my Blockbuster account to check on my Blu-Ray rental queue and saw they've started their download service (via Movielink) on their website. I wonder if they're going to eventually offer HD rentals.

Unlike Netflix, looks like everything is paid rentals/purchases.

However, I thought it was interesting that on my download page it had something saying I could watch "The Other Boleyn Girl" (a Blu-Ray request from my queue) from downloading. The price said "0.00". So do they randomly pick a movie from your queue that's not currently "available" and let you watch it for free? Or is this a one time thing to get you to try it?

I've been thinking of ditching Blockbuster and going to Netflix exclusively (use both currently). But if they do allow you to watch a movie from your queue for free, then I may reconsider as this would be better than Netflix's "Watch Instantly" option.

I really like netflix watch instantly thing, my only problem is that it isn't mac compatable, so it doesn't work on my laptop.

I havn't had much experience with blockbuster online, but I really dislike the idea of paying money to download movie rentals. I'd rather have the DVD to watch in better quality on my big screen.
