I just bought DIRL off ebay and it was a sealed movie. It will not play in the ps3. The movie plays about 10 minutes and the exact spot...in the coffee bar when he takes the muffin out of the bag, it freezes. Now when I rented from blockbuster a few weeks back...same thing. I have had NO other playback issues. Anyone else no of this or have this issue?

Worked fine on my PS3...is your PS3 firmware up to date?

yea everything is up to date. when it froze, I took it out, watched rescue dawn and that played perfect. The strange thing is a DIRL rental from blockbuster did the exact same thing

I watched my copy all the way through on the PS3 with no issues.

Same here...watched entire movie in my PS3 no issues at all.

Yup, watched the whole thing on my PS3 without incident.

So when it wouldnt work I played Rescue Dawn and it played great...and this morning so did Dan in real life so who knows..lol

Yeah, I was just about to say - played perfectly in my ps3 each time I've watched it.

I didn't have any problems playing it on my PS3 either. I did just have my first BD playback problem --with Harold and Kumar 2-- but I exchanged the disc and the new disc didn't have the problem.

Just watched it now on my PS3, and it played perfectly.

I'm having the same issues as the original poster with playback on an up to date PS3. But, I've noticed that it plays back ok as long as I don't fast-forward at all. Pausing is ok, but any fast-forwarding will cause it to freeze up about 3-4 seconds after playback resumes.

Very strange...
