Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

Here's an odd one at Best Buy. A 3-pack due out on March 24 with Quantum of Solace, Licence To Kill, and The Man With the Golden Gun:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1956948

The 2 titles besides QoS aren't supposed to be due until May.

Here's a picture at their Canadian site:

So does that mean that the Best Buy exclusives will remain so until May?

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

I thought that I heard they cut out a bunch for the theatrical run. Is there not any deleted scenes, or directors cut coming out for QoS?

So are Moonraker, Goldfinger, and World is Not Enough the only Steelbooks coming out March 24th?

If by some chance that Future Shop tries to sneak one in, I'll post back on Tuesday.

No, no. You're thinking of all the shots that would have made the action sequences coherent.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

QoS was trimmed quite a bit I thought. Wasn't the original running time over 2 hours? Not that it would have helped, but I really don't think a Director's Cut could hurt it at all given how poor it was.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

Damn, no Never Say Never sales.
Volume 4 as BB only is odd. I guess they just figured that putting 6 out on one day was too many.

Anyone else think the box sets are a little bare? I have sets 1 & 2 and I've decided to go with the discs separately instead of continuing with the boxes. I hate how the movies are out of order also. I also can't see collecting 7 or 8 box sets.

Does MGM own Never Say Never Again now? Amazon lists it as an MGM release.

Since when? The last DVD was released by MGM, who acquired the rights in 1997.

Exactly why I passed on the boxsets. As it stands, NSNA does not have a slip cover nor does QoS. So any consistency is now gone. Who knows if we will even get Steelbooks of the other two Bonds do out in May.

really frustrating. is the general thought that QoS will have a double dip down the road like CR did?

I would too, but, at least in my opinion, the CE of Casino Royale wasn't really worth buying just for the features. I didn't have it on Blu-ray yet and with the free movie ticket it was worth it, but honestly, the features were some of the most boring and dry I've seen.

I'm kinda with you on this. I never got around to buying the first release of Casino Royale either, so the CE was the obvious choice.

Price looks good, but I'd really like to know what going on with LTK & MWTGG steelbooks first.

Ehh, including Never Say Never Again is like including 1967's Casino Royale. After all, this thread is titled "The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread"

I'm not touching that Best Buy exclusive three pack. MGM/Fox better have steelbooks a few months down the road.
