sound problem with the uk bd of THE ASSEMBLY

i recently received the UK BD of the chinese film "the assembly". when i select the DTS-HD track, i get a very loud static and popping noise throughout. i had the same problem on the dts tracks on DIE HARD 1 and 3 along with portions of SUNSHINE. i have my bd-30 hooked up to my pioneer 91-txh via hdmi. i also reported the same problem with my a-35 on some hd-dvds that i had. when i switch it to the core dts track, it plays fine but the dts-hd has the horrid noise that would've blown my speakers if it wasn't for me having the volume almost completely off due to a sleeping 4 month old in the next room.

anybody else get this with the above listed title?

I have heard of this issue, and a few receivers have had firmware updates to fix it.

Have you checked the large thread at AVS about receiver issues with DTS-HD?

The issue was initially reported with Onkyo, Yamaha and Integra receivers, but I believe other receivers were affected as well.

Regarding the noise, how often is it happening?

The known issue relates to pops that happened intermittently.

If you are getting multiple pops in a very short period of time, like more than one in less than a minute, something else may be wrong. It certainly sounds like a receiver issue either way. I thought Pioneer's support was pretty decent - they didn't help you when you contacted them directly?
