Hmmm, this turns from a wait for it on sale purchase to a day one purchase for me. Now if Universal can go back and remaster their other titles, they will easily become my favorite BD studio.

I don't care for the Mummy movies, but that is really great news that they've remastered it. Hopefully this is a sign they'll remaster The Game and Field of Dreams when it comes time to put them out (assuming the issues are due to poor masters).

I wouldn't count on a remaster/lossless audio for all the catalogue re-releases. This is clearly being done to tie-in with the upcoming third Mummy film.

I presume they'll redo Hulk to tie in with The Incredible Hulk. I would hope they completely redo King Kong to include the extended cut and the missing special features.

It would be cool if they really re-did the movies nice, but I remain skeptical. I'll see if the reviews think there's a real improvement of not. I guess the DTS-MA track is nice, but I'd look for more to upgrade.

I'll be interested in the reviews, but doubt I will upgrade my HD DVDs for the first two films. However, I am glad that Universal is improving their releases on BD. There are other films I like more that I definitely will upgrade for DTS Master Audio.

I like those covers, looks classy. I can't wait for these! (I hope we get some more Uni announcements soon - for getting into the blu-ray biz, they sure haven't announced much yet)

Everyone seems to like the covers. I guess I'm the only one who dislikes them. I don't like the small artwork in a box. If they made it take up the whole case, I'd like it. I'll still get it though!

Amazon is listing these for $19.95 each. So each one includes a movies ticket? I wonder if BB, CC, Walmart, or Target might have a better price the debut week? I have to give props to Universal for remastering and including a DTS-MA soundtrack by picking these 2 up in the first week.
