Sweet! Dawn and Land coming out the same day. Looks like an early start to Halloween for me.

Matthew Ackerly 07-17-08 08:14 AM

And it's being reported over on Hi-Def Digest and Blu-ray.com that A Nightmare on Elm Street will drop September 2nd.

I picked it up on the cheap on HD DVD when they went down, but I'll pick it up again on Blu for the DTS MA. One of my all time faves.

...and let it be Region-Free! I was checking out Amazon.de, and they got a lot of stuff coming out... Ghostbusters 1&2, The Incredible Hulk, Eastern Promises, Casino Royale - 2-disc Deluxe Edition, Standard Operating Procedure, The Goonies, Gremlins, Rendition, Educating Rita, Dead Poets Society, Finding Nemo, American Pie... and on and on...

Mr. Cinema 07-17-08 12:52 PM

The Thing has one of the best documentaries ever made. I guess I'm going to have to keep the dvd.

HD Digest says the video codec is AVC. Looks like a new encode.

Mr. Cinema 07-17-08 12:56 PM

A Nightmare on Elm Street - September 2

Interview With the Vampire - October 14

Also, these titles have been added for October:

Gremlins
The Goonies

bunkaroo 07-17-08 01:00 PM

IWTV better have lossless - the DVD had at least 768kbps DTS I think.

I'm in for all 4.

TNAJason 07-17-08 01:31 PM

I'll keep my Dawn of the Dead & Thing DVDs,but will get them and Land on BD too seeing as the U-Control is on there, that suckers me into buying them.

ALL of those will be mine at some point.

And I want Gremlins 2 on there very badly as well.

Drexl 07-17-08 03:04 PM

I'll buy Interview, Gremlins, and Goonies. The fall is getting expensive.

Mr. Cinema 07-17-08 07:49 PM

If I liked the film more I'd be excited, but at this point if it's not accompanied by the first 3 on BD I'm not sure I'll care too much about getting it.

Drexl 07-17-08 08:25 PM

Wow, I'd better check out Daredevil. I mean, the director of a successful comic book film has an acting part in it! So it must be similar, right?
