Holy flirking shnit, that's exactly what I wanted to hear about The Mist. Nice to see Weinstein come into Blu with all guns blazing.

The Mist is 8/5, not 9/16. Check the link a few posts up.

By all guns blazing, I meant the level of quality and extras for The Mist, not their general title count overall.
I agree they could do WAY more. They barely put out anything on HD DVD. |

Warner appears to no longer be a fan of lossless. Fools gold and The Bucket List both only have DD5.1 tracks and A Cinderella Story follows the same path. |
Warner appears to be a fan of lossless. Dirty Harry and Natural Born Killers both have TrueHD tracks and 10,000 B.C follows the same path.

question, since New Line (along with Picturehouse) merged into Warner - is DTS-MA on New Line titles a thing of the past?

Fools Gold, The Bucket List, IMAX Sea Monsters, Bruce and Lloyd,Batman Gotham Knight, One Flew Over the Cuckoo Nest, The Perfect Storm... All Warmer releases in the next few weeks and all DD5.1. Only 1 Warner title has lossless and its Batman Begins which is a port of the HD DVD. |
what's Warner's reasoning of this - just when you think they've got it good, they enact this type of shit - what total douches. At least Fox and Universal will be staying with and encoding discs with DTS-MA)
so those IMAX discs wont have lossless then - Ugh!!!! (I look at my DTS laserdiscs and sigh - progression seems like it's gone completey downhill) |
Lossless or not Warner is bringing out some fantastic catalog titles so its hard for me to pass on them. One Flew is a must buy.
