PS3 & aspect ratio question...

I have the 40g PS3 and I noticed that A Night at the Museum BR (2.35:1) zooms and fills in the entire screen on my 57" Mitsu 1080p through HDMI. I haven't checked any other BRs yet as I don't have many right now. I feel like something is not set right. I assumed HDMI automatically displays the correct AR but I feel like I need to change something in the settings either on the TV or PS3. Can someone help a DVDTalk old timer out? Thanks!

By the way I searched "aspect ratio" and "PS3" and other search terms and couldn't find anything specific to this problem.

NATM is actually 1.85:1. It's a mistake on the packaging.

Cast Away is also mislabelled as 2.35:1 when the movie is really 1.85:1.

Edit to add: Bullitt as well.

All that aside, the PS3 wouldn't be doing that. It would likely be a setting on your TV when a "auto zoom" occurs.
