Amazon isn't selling 40 gig PS3s anymore?

A few days ago you could order them with free shipping, eligible for Amazon Prime, etc. Now they only list it as being sold by J&R with a damn $20 shipping cost. What the shit?

This kind of thing happens all the time. Amazon may run out of stock and they switch over to a selling partner (who may not have good shipping options).

Just wait a bit and I'm sure Amazon will restock shortly.

Probably just re-stocking with the new SKU, now that the Spidey3 pack-in offer is over.

The Spiderman BD was actually removed from the product page earlier in the week. Could there be a new bundle coming?

On SonyStyle, the new 40GB SKU is not a bundle.

There was run on the 40s because Amazon had put them in the Gold Box on special.

Guys were doing Sony CC deal ($100 rebate on first purchase over $299) and were getting this from Amazon for about $280 I think after the $100 rebate. Plus Amazon had advertised the 40 with Spidey and most folks received one with NO spidey and complained and got additional money refunded by Amazon. This made most get theirs for $260ish I think. Check slickdeals.net for a monster thread on this topic.

MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive (or so they say). Doing a bundle with a game you can get elsewhere doesn't make much sense.

If they do another one, it would probably be October/November when Hancock or Don't Mess With Zohan is released on Blu-ray.

In all honesty, I don't know if Sony will bother with another package deal, at least as far as films are concerned. Maybe they'll work out another mail-in for free Blu-rays promo with the studios.
