Interested in 2 disc replacement HD DVD cases?
After reading lots of questions about the (lack of) availability of 2 disc HD DVD replacement cases, I started doing some research.
The result is that I have found a means to order them, but only in very large quantities, and thus at considerable cost...So, I am trying to gauge interest from the community here. Would folks here be interested in sufficient numbers to make it worth my time and effort to get them and redistribute?
Maybe I should make this a poll??? Mods: Is this even OK to ask here?

Heh. That's the hitch, minimum order quantity is approximately 5000 cases...and I need exactly two.
I wasn't really planning on getting into the replacement case business, but this looks like the only way to get the 2 disc models...

I think your best bet is just to buy the adhesive hubs from Wal Mart (as suggested by CrashNBurn69). Only $2.50 for 5 and you can just get the 1-disc replacement cases and turn them into 2-disc cases. Probably a hell lot cheaper...

5000..... I thought you were going to say like 25 or maybe 50. There are HD-DVD titles that didn't sell that well. Which movies had 2 discs anyway? I only remember a few.

Oh, I agree that 5000 is a ridiculously huge number to buy. I'm going to find out if I can get a (much) smaller quantity. Mostly just wanted to see how many people might really want to get some, so I can negotiate appropriately with the supplier.

Why not just use two HD DVD cases and then tape them together (so they are both taped together, but you can open each case individually). Just print up another customized cover for the second disc.

Well, the supplier refuses to sell me anything less than what they originally told me. I'll wait another week, remind them that the format is dead, and see what they say then...

I doubt they have a bunch of 2-disc HD DVD cases sitting around that they need to unload to anyone willing to take a handful. If you order from them, that's when they make the cases. It's not worth the effort unless you buy in bulk.
Out of curiosity, how much money are we talking about for 5,000 cases?

We're talking over $1000 for the MOQ of 5000 cases, plus shipping costs. On a per case basis, that's pretty cheap. However, then you have to consider the amount of time/effort it would take to redistribute all of that inventory...and more importantly, could you find enough buyers to unload them all?
As I said in the beginning, I wasn't looking to get into the replacement case business, but that looks like what I'd have to do...

As much as I'd LOVE to have 2-disc cases, I'm not about to pay stupid money for them:
MOD NOTE - eBay link removed
That's $3 a case with almost 5 days remaining!
Nah, I'll buy the regular replacement cases for less than a buck each shipped, and then this:

It may be ghetto, but it's functional. Who's going to notice when the bases are stacked on the shelf anyway???

I need about 10 double cases and I found someplace that had those quantity, but the per-case cost was just retarded. I'll just keep my HWV finds in the cases they came in and save the cash.

Yeah, no way I buy in at that price. I just don't know if I want to buy the single disc cases now or wait awhile and see if more 2 disc ones pop up at a better price. Honestly just putting the 2nd disc in a sleeve sounds like a good enough solution.

I put an auctionsniper on it for like $22 or something. That amount is long past.
I'd pick up 5 or 10 of the double cases at less than $1 each or so. I may need some in the coming years and having a few extra over my HV purchases is good.
I emailed the ebay seller but they said they only have those 10.
