Any HD Rumors on The Mist?

Either Domestic or Import? I know Weinstein blows at HD releases, but 1408 did get a Blu-Ray release overseas, so I'm speculating (hoping?) that The Mist might get the same treatment. I'm planning to buy the Standard Definition in a couple weeks but will hold off if there is a hint of an HD release somewhere in the world...

Nope.

Maybe with the future being Blu they will come back...but don't count on it.

FWIW, it's been delayed until 4/22, according to Amazon & CDNow.

(Ignore the picture - the cast is from the Mist)

Maybe for a side-by-side Blu release?

Bummer, I wanted to see this one. As for Blu...Weinstein has been missing since June 2007...I doubt they will come back now, even after all the rumors of Grind House and such being on Blu-ray from "confirmed sources". Sucks as I'd buy this movie as well. Along with Halloween.

Well on that 1408 import, there was a trailer for The Mist. So maybe that company can release it on BD as well.

And the same company that did the Dutch release of 1408, Dutch FilmWorks (DFW), has a trailer for The Mist on their website. It must be a DVD trailer, as the Dutch theatrical distributor per IMDB is Benelux Film Distribution. The question remains, will DFW just do a standard DVD release, or will they do a BR too?

Well, I'm not getting the DVD. There's plenty to keep me occupied until they get around to a Blu-ray release and I'll just wait rather than buying twice.

Of course that is technically a fact and not a rumor. But only from my perspective. I guess to you it actually would be a rumor since this is just something you're reading on the internet and you have no idea of my true intentions. Either way, it's probably not the kind of HD rumor you're looking for, but it's all I have to offer.
