Planet Earth PS3 issues?

Is it true that this title is not working for some on the PS3? I ended up ordering it on Blu from amazon because of the case and the fact that an HD set would probably arrive with some lose/scratched discs and the Blu coating would better protect the discs.

I just want to make sure it will actually work properly on the PS3.

This is looking good so far. I had to switch my 60 for an 80 in a warranty exchange. I hope the different PS3 models isn't also a factor.

One thing about PS3 is the constant updates tend to fix a lot of things. Like, I had movies that wouldn't play properly back in the early launch days, but eventually everything was sorted out.

Had it for a while and never had any problems. Haven't heard about any either.

I've watched the entire series a few times and haven't had one single issue with playback. I have a 60 gig PS3 and it works just dandy.

You got the short end of the stick on that exchange.

I should have a copy in my mailbox tonight - I'll check it out on my 80 gb. (unless I read other reports of problems and decide not to open it)

Not necessarily because I don't need the emotion engine and I like the additional hd space. Plus, I wanted one that worked.

Virtually every correctly pressed BD should work on a firmware updated PS3. Most studios producing on BD use the PS3 as the main player for testing compatibility issues.

Same here. If anything the PS3 is probably the most reliable one out there.
