I have a few BD imports where the extras are in PAL (or even the Previews for upcoming films! Kinda a blessing) and won't play in my player. But yes, Pro-B is correct on that. The movies will always play as there is no NTSC/PAL on BD, but extras (in SD I beleive) may not.

What?! If I want just the first two films I will have to buy the set? Screw that. Thanks for preventing me from getting two of my favorite films WB!

Those who want the first two and don't want to wait for them to be separately released in the US should consider the imports.
The way I see it, if you spend $80-$90 on the box set, you'll be lucky to get $10-$15 per disc for the Schumacher films if they get dumped on the secondary market in significant numbers. Best case scenario you still spend $50-$60 on the other two movies. Right now you can import them for about $42 shipped from Amazon UK.

I went ahead and imported them from DVD.co.uk. The price is about the same(85 bucks and change) as what I'd pay on Amazon with the standard 30% discount. Plus I hate the slimcases and the fact that Batman(1989) will be on a BD-25 and DVD.
Oh, and I like having the movies two months early.

One of the films will come a two-disc set (Digital Copy - from what I've heard), while the others will only be one BD-50

Hmm, with prices for the DVD Anthology going for 70+ on Ebay, maybe I should Ebay my DVD set and use the money to cover the Blu-ray release.

Man that anthology looks nice minus the fact it includes two turds. So let me get this right Gizmo, specs have changed to include a BD-50 for Batman and 2nd disc a digital copy?

So are the bonus features the same or will I have to keep my older copy, as what has happened every time for me so far.

I bet most people will bitch about the slim cases (since this set will be using those like The Matrix Collection and the Austin Powers Collection did)...however, I for one will not be complaining at all! With shelf space at a premium for me, I prefer when these sets can be made more compact....

Tomorrow should be exciting though at the BDA event. Fox is digging deep in their vaults and pulling out tons of classics. The South Park boys would be very, very upset at one funny title though Lots of TV on BD stuff...2009 is the year for that. And (useless) Digital Copies.

I think I'll just get the Batman digibook and import Batman Returns or just wait for it to come out individually.

Enjoy waiting. Warner takes their sweet ass time releasing titles individually if they think they will be poor sellers (Oceans Trilogy, Matrix Trilogy, Austin Powers). Be thankful they are even doing a DigiBook release of Batman and The Matrix. Mind boggling they are putting out Final Destination by itself and not focing it with the Trilogy coming later.

Very interesting...so does this mean they have been upgraded to HD? I find it hard to believe that a UK disc would have standard definition extras in NTSC...
