Mine came with it.

On Disc 1 though, there was a pause in the last episode (I think it was the last episode). Long freeze type pause. No scratch. Fast forward through it and it is still a freeze/pause. Anyone else?

Amazon.com B2G1 Blu-ray sale (this is a redirect to the Bargains forum thread where the OP has kindly posted links to all the genres featured):
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=525001

There is a similar HD-DVD sale going on at the same time, but not worth my time to look up that link for the reds and purples. Hee hee!

PS - I have been tracking the sales numbers since this sale started this afternoon (via highdefdigest.com - http://charts.highdefdigest.com/versus.aspx) and there are now 9 Blu-ray titles selling better than the top HD-DVD title (Zodiac). Before the sale started, there were only 3. And number 10 for BD (300) is at #57 while Zodiac on HD-DVD is at #54. So even that is in jeopardy at this point. In just the time it took to post this message, I refreshed and saw Blade Runner on BD climb to #19 from #25. Planet Earth still leads Blu-ray sales, however.

New Amazon.com Buy 2 Get 1 free Sale

Just thought I would let you know that amazon has a new sale going: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...rd_i=193640011

Just make sure you click each of the genre tabs at the top of the page to get to the full list, when I first looked I thought there was nothing there, but then I clicked and there was the gold :)

Interesting it features box sets.

Nice.

Too bad there's not three Sopranos seasons out, then it'd really be a great deal for those.

I picked up First Blood, Pan's Labyrinth, and Unforgiven for ~$15 each.

Drexl 02-13-08 03:48 AM

Some of those Warner titles are cheap ($14.95). That makes this about as good as a BOGO sale for those titles.

Overpar 02-13-08 08:18 AM

Do you all think I should replace my HD DVD's with the Blu-ray version and just trade the HD DVD's at FYE. For example, I have a lot of Warner titles in HD that I could switch over to Blu-ray. This sale is making me wonder if that might be a good idea. Your thoughts? :scratch2:

I have not been replacing my HDs with Blus. If anything, I've been buying more HDs than Blus lately so I have enough to keep me happy before they are unavailable.

Sell your HD-DVDs discs here. There's a lot of people that'd pay you more than FYE will.

That's kind of my point. I know HD DVD is on the outs, and I have a bunch of HD DVD's that have Blu-ray equivalents. Since this sale has started I was thinking about replacing those. I would lose a little, maybe, on trade, but it might be worth it in the long run.

I guess it depends. Will you still have other HD DVDs beyond the ones you flip? If so, you'll still have to keep an HD DVD player to play those other discs, so what's a few more? If you watch movies a lot outside your main set-up, then you might consider flipping them to have more options on where to play them. But if you're going to play them mainly in one large set-up and you'll need to keep an HD DVD player for exclusive titles in that set-up, why not keep what you have? Those movies serve the purpose they were intended for.

Of course if you can do it for free, then maybe you should just go for it.

Overpar 02-13-08 09:42 AM

Thanks everyone. I don't want to take up the whole thread with this tangent.

Jericho, I do have some Paramounts, Universals and some HDNet HD DVD's, so I won't be getting rid of my player. You make some good points there. I'll crunch some numbers and see what I feel like. Those $15 Warner titles are definitely tempting!

J&R.com Blu-Ray Sale:

Some decent stuff.

sbelli 02-15-08 01:14 PM

Doesn't seem like I'm seeing the Bourne Ultimatium or Bourne Idenity in any of the current HD DVD sales. I'm trying to get 'em cheap while I can find them with HD DVD on the way out...(already have Supremacy).

Probably the last two HD DVDs I purchase.

Anyone know of any deals on Bourne titles?

Bourne Identity is one you can typically get super-cheap on the second-hand market. Check Amazon, craigslist, eBay, or the classifieds on AVS. Someone here might even have them.

I know some people are still willing to buy an HD DVD player. So, here is an A20 for $99+ shipping right here

Mr. Cinema 02-17-08 08:05 AM

Best Buy is offering $10 off 17 select BD titles:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....at144700050002

X-Men: The Last Stand $24.99
Sunshine $24.99
The Departed $19.99
The Rock, Crimson Tide $14.99

several others...

Arpeggi 02-17-08 08:07 AM

Just ordered Crimson Tide for in-store pickup!

m0vi3fan 02-17-08 09:57 AM

I'm confused, has the ten been taken off already or is ten off the sale price.

Deftones 02-17-08 10:18 AM

Looks like it's already taken off.

m0vi3fan 02-17-08 10:26 AM

Yeah, think I'll pass....

PerryD 02-17-08 11:12 AM

The Rock and Con Air for $14.99 each is a good deal, but I have a 10% coupon that they mailed to me. Is the deal online only? It would be nice to get the movies for $13.50 each.
