3:10 to Yuma Blu-ray
I missed this film in theatres, but it looked really badass, so I'm considering blind-buying it this evening/watching it. Is it worth getting? Anyone watched the Blu-ray yet? If so, how's the transfer/package in general. I can't find any reviews anywhere or any topics regarding this release.

I'm pretty surprised there aren't any reviews on this.
I wonder if Lionsgate is getting stingy with their review copies, as I didn't see any reviews for the War BD either.
Regarding the film, the reviews were very positive. I procrastinated and missed my chance to see it in DLP at the theater so I've been waiting for the Blu-Ray very anxiously.
Preliminary reports from a couple users at AVS said the disc has very nice PQ/AQ. I believe the audio is 7.1 PCM.

I can't speak for the Blu-Ray (although I did pick it up this morning). But you won't go wrong blind buying this one, AWESOME movie.

I was considering just renting it, but a friend told me that it's a really badass film, so I figured I might as well just buy it (I'd probably want to after renting it, so I might as well save the extra $6.) It looks like it'd be badass in HD. I'm glad it's not too expensive at Future Shop.
Thanks for the replies.

I pre-ordered it on Amazon because my co-worker told me it is indeed a bad ass movie. The reviews have been favorable, and I like westerns to some degree. I'll probably watch it tomorrow night after it arrives.

I did see this in DLP and was very impressed. The movie though - meh... the last quarter of the movie was one big ol head scratcher. Would be interested in renting to see the extras, but as a movie to keep - nah.

I havent had time to sit down and watch it, but I popped it in and skimmed a few scenes and some of the outdoor scenes seemed kind of grainy. This was a blind buy for me, I'm hoping I enjoy the movie.

My friend saw it in theatres and he told me that it looked grainy there too. It's just the way it was shot.
I ended up watching it last night and I thought it was quite good. It looks impressive and the sound was excellent, so it's worth getting in HD for sure. Some of the landscape shots were pretty stunning. The movie is a 4/5 or so.

Reviewed this for a danish magazine.
This is the best audio for any movie title I've ever heard. Gun fires from the back speakers, bullets passes by and objects get hit in the front. Cattle in the back. The train felt like passing by in my cellar. Absolutely stunning.
5/5 and if I could, I'd throw in ½ more!
PQ. Absolutely satisfying. Not 3D image, but detailed enough, not quite HD sharp.
3½/5
Movie, one of the best 5 I've watched in 2007.

I've been told that Lionsgate's new policy is not to send screeners out until after street date.
3:10 looks very good, but unfortunately has a noticeable amount of edge enhancement.
