question about amazon return policy
Thanks in advance for any help! Hopefully someone will know the answer!
I got 2 hd-dvds for x-mas that I had already bought from amazon. Since they were purchased within the last 30 days, I can return them. My question is how do you think amazon will handle the returns?
1st hd-dvd is hot fuzz. I got it as part of the 3 free when I bought my a30 player. The invoice says $27.95. But it was "free" after discount. I don't mind eating shipping back to them, but I don't want to pay shipping and get $0 for the hd-dvd..
the 2nd dvd I is hd-dvd happy feet. Again invoice says $27.95. But it was Buy one get one free. After dvdsave5, it cost me $11.47. Will my return credit be $11.47 or $27.95. I would assume $11.47. At that point I think I could sell it for that much and save shipping costs back.
Also I assume I can't lump items from different invoices in the same box and return them. I would think that would totally mess my return up. I would think they would have to sent back separate.

You will get whatever you paid for them back.
Disc 1 - $0 and you'll owe them the cost of the shipping since it isn't defective.
Disc 2 - $11.47 and they will deduct the cost of the shipping since it isn't defective.
You CAN'T lump them together in the same box, because the shipping label is unique to your individual order by the RMA barcode that is printed at the bottom.

In case you want a second opinion....
Amazon will handle your returns exactly as dvd-fanman indicated, you'll get back what you're due and will be deducted for the return shipping as neither HD-DVD is defective.
