According to highdefdigest this will be the NC-17 version released as a combo disk at $39.98 MSRP.

This announcement is pretty significant because it's a lesser known new release. We can only hope that other studios follow. (Here's looking at you Fox Searchlight)

Focus Features/Universal is awesome.

Actually Focus Features has released all of their 2007 films on HD DVD so far.

* Hot Fuzz - April 20

* Evening - June 29

* Talk to Me - July 20

* Balls of Fury - August 31

* Eastern Promises - September 14

* Lust, Caution - September 28

* Reservation Road - October 19

* Atonement - December 7

Atonement is a no-brainer and I fully expect Reservation Road to be released day and date with the DVD.

Now, they just need to release some of their catalog films!

Thats what I thought at 1st until I read the end of the post:

Great news. This is one movie I was eagerly anticapting on watching in HD. I was a little upset when it wasn't initially announced but this is great.

According to Highdefdigest Lust, Caution has been cancelled.
The explination is that this movie was wrongfully announced on HD-DVD and will not be coming now.

Figures, I didn't think this flick was done w/ its international run already.

Dammit! Well, perhaps it will see a release in the future.
