Resident Evil Trilogy Blu Box Set?

Best Buy is advertising a Bluray Resident Evil Trilogy for $58.99 tomorrow.

I don't see any mention of this on DVDpricesearch or Amazon. So, is it really coming out, or is the ad wrong? Or am I just overlooking something?

thanks

too bad the second movie sucked really bad or I'd buy the box - Hell, for the price the box is, I may just purchase it and trade off the second film.

dvdempire.com has a listing for it complete with pictures of the box, so its definately coming out.

Its the perfect way to purchase the trilogy considering just the first and third installments alone are about $50 on release day...

Just a word of warning about Dvdpricesearch. Whoever runs that site has been heavily biased for HD DVD and tries to minimize any Blu-ray release or information. I would not be using that site as a guide for Blu-ray releases.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Didn't see it at Amazon when I searched this morning. Will probably pick up the set at Best Buy tomorrow then.

Personally I loved the 2nd movie (and already own it on Blu) Now the 3rd movie on the otherhand... Ugh... But gotta have it to complete the set.

So where is a good search engine for Blu releases? I've used DVD pricesearch since DVD days (Duh) but have continued to use it for HD and Blu releases as well.

Mine has shipped from Amazon for $51.65 with discounts. I'm hoping they lower the $62.95 price.

How is it biased towards HD DVD? I've them many times for both Blu-ray and HD DVD purchases.

Ummmm No. Whoever runs the front page for Dvdpricesearch has a systematic and persistent bias for HD DVD products and news. I have visited the site every day(and I mean every day) for the past six years. I still use the site for price searches but have stopped using their links(thus denying them revenue). It's the only thing I can do until they treat the Blu-ray format fairly. Of course they haven't gone as far where they don't list Blu-rays in their search engine but that is only because of the revenue they generate from those links.

There is no conspiracy here. Whoever runs the site obviously prefers HD DVD to Blu-ray as a High Definition format and uses the site to promote the format of their choice.

Maybe you're making something out of nothing? I'm neutral and have never noticed anything regarding it being pro anything. Right on the front page, the BD logo is right next to the HD DVD logo. The only HDM sales listed i see is a 30% off BD thing.

Feedback about what? Yes, it exists. Yes, it's a nice set. Very impressed with it, it's a great deal at $58.99 at Best Buy.

Yes I support Blu-ray exclusively. The only way I was ever going to see HDM became more than a niche was for one format to become the successor to dvd and that format was clearly Blu-ray. Thankfully Warner made the correct decision and now we are all closer to HDM becoming a mass market. The Warner move will help give confidence to smaller producers like Criterion to release now that the war is over.

And anyone questioning Dvdpricesearch's biases check out their homepage today. What major news is conspicuously absent?

Anyone get the bag at Best Buy? I bought my set at 10:30 am and they said they never received them.

10:30 today or on tuesday?
I got one when I picked up my copy on tuesday, they were stacked behind the register but it didn't look like they had a ton of them or anything.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the announcement has to do with HD media prices. Other than maybe an article about speculation what might happen.

I realize I'm talking to the wind here in a forum dominated by HD DVD supporters and well-wishers. Dvdpricesearch never had any problem listing any news that favored HD DVD. They posted immediately about the Paramount defection and the sales of Transformers on HD DVD. They frequently would list minor independent HD DVD releases on their front page while slipping in major studio Blu-ray titles in their database unnoticed.
