No; it's an HD-DVD exclusive.

Not getting another player? You already spent 4 times the amount of the player needed to play Transformers.

Alas, please lock the thread this is just troll baiting.

I don't know what people are talking about, but Transformers is certainly available on BD:

Get the DVD if you don't want a HD-DVD player. The DVD quality is still very good PQ.

I think he's talking about the new crappy live action version, not the cartoon one.

I'm sure most if not all the movies that are on HD-DVD will eventually show up on Blu-Ray. It's just a matter of when.... Especially popular mainstream ones like Transformers.

I would not be surprised if they hold it for the sequel next year.

From what I have heard, it has shown up in inventory at some stores as ready to order or something like that. But Paramount and Dreamworks are holding off announcing any Blu-Ray releases. They have officially said they are moving to Blu-Ray, but it's rumored they are holding out on finalizing a deal with the HD DVD camp in order to get some of that reported money they were promised before making any official announcements on release dates. But as far as I know, that's just speculation, but it makes sense to me. I'm sure, either way, since they were in a contract with HD DVD (Universal's contract was actually up or about up, if I remember correctly), there needs to be some legal negotiations before they can officially release anything on Blu-Ray (even though Toshiba has officially backed out of the format).

Dreamworks just announced that if you take the case, open it, twist the top half, spin the disk and close it, it transforms into a Blu-ray disk!

Either that or it transforms into a cassette tape instead. Just like Rumble and Ravage did!

It's a no-brainer that this will be coming soon.
