HD audio delay?
I watch DVD's and HD-DVD's on my HD-A20. My setup is using the red and white analogs for now (stereo) to send to a reciever and the HDMI cable in the back of the TV is used for audio as a better center channel. It's a crappy home theater in a box panasonic and in a week or so I'm upgrading to the Onkyo 605 with some better speakers as well.
But, when I watch DVD's, the sound is sync'd perfectly between the TV via HDMI and the surround speakers. When I watch an HD-DVD, there's a delay somewhere and I'm thinking it's not from the TV. It's funny because if I use the red and white analogs for sound to the reciever, NO delay on HD-DVD's. If I use an optical cable for sound utilizing 5.1, then there's a delay. What the hell?
