Face off on bluray

Why is this so hard to find? Ebay has two and they're from japan. Meanwhile you can find it almost anywhere on hd. Anyone know the reason behind this?

Because it doesn't exist in R1.

Its a Paramount title and they are currently HD-DVD exclusive. And it wasn't produced when they were making Blu-Ray discs.

Maybe you're looking in the wrong places, kinda similar to how you're posting this in the wrong forum.

Both the UK Blu-ray of Face/Off & the Japanese Face/Off can be played in American players. You can always check whether a Blu-ray is region coded or not at

http://bluray.liesinc.net/

The UK one can be ordered at many online retailers like

www.amazon.co.uk or

http://www.sendit.com/

Be warned though, all the dialog is in British!

Paramount is confusing me lately because they're releasing some of their titles on bluray like wtc, we were soldiers, itailian job etc. But when it comes to face off, indiana jones and the godfather it's not going to happen.

And can someone clue me in on the whole name/location thing?

The name/location thing is a reference to The Office TV show.

Also, all the Paramount discs you mentioned were released before Paramount went HD DVD exclusive. Paramount won't produce more of these, but there are still a good amount available at retail.

Paramount was releasing on both formats, but stopped doing so. At that point Paramount stopped all Blu-Ray disc production. Any title released after that point was HD DVD only (like Face/Off). Any title released before that time would no longer be produced, but stores already had existing copies that they could continue to sell (like with the Italian Job).

Basic lesson. Expect no new Paramount Blu-Rays anytime soon, and any that you want you should snap quick before they're completely gone.

Ya i had a feeling that's what you were referring to. It's sad it takes place in my area yet i've still not seen a single episode lol. Thanks for clearing up the whole paramount issue for me everyone. I guess i missed the memo about paramount not releasing bluray titles from a certain date. I'll take your advice and get the titles i can before it's to late.
