ps3 question

I just picked up the 80gb ps3. It didn't have the rebate for 5 bluray titles..maybe this was only available through the 40gb? Not too sure there. Also i popped in my usb jump drive and it didn't read it for some reason. Is there something i'm doing wrong? jump drive works fine it recognized it but didn't read what was on it for some reason.

Any new PS3 purchase is eligible for the blu-ray rebate. You can find the rebate submission form online.

I usually use a flash drive to do the system updates. I know for those you have to have a specific directory structure for the PS3 to find the update. For one thing, there has to be a folder named PS3 in your root directory. Try putting a PS3 folder in your USB drive and see if anything in there is recognized. There is a much more extensive online manual at playstation.com and they may more specifics for you.

Another thing is that you may have to format your drive as FAT32 - I had to do that with my little 40GB external drive.

its /PS3/UPDATE

move the PUP file into the UPDATE folder - then it should see the upgrade file.
