How can you tell the Fifth Element (Original Release) from the Remastered version?

Is there anything on the packaging that will differentiate the two? I just received my copy from Amazon but I want to be 100% sure before opening it. Thanks!!

Look for the TrueHD soundtrack listed on the back.

The easiest way is to check if the disc has TrueHD in addition to PCM. If it does, it's the new one.

The new disc also has a different UPC and has something like RMSTD at the top spine label.

FWIW I haven't seen the old version at retail for a while.

^The new edition also has "RE" on the top security label. Stands for "Remastered Edition" I believe.

Nice, makes it easier. I think I'm just gonna buy the new one and sell my old version on eBay. Too much of a hassle to mail my current disc in and wait for it to arrive. I always forget about that.

Just to add 1 more difference, the new version contains the "Experience High Definition" banner on a silver background. The old version is on the older gray one.
