Hey guys, I usually just lurk and read the forums, and I've been patiently waiting for L.A. Confidential to be released in HD, now Amazon has it listed but they say they are taking "votes" based on people who sign up to be notified, and passing that along to the studio.

So for my first post, I say anyone interested should sign up to be notified at Amazon. Even if you aren't interested, vote for us who can't wait!

Not to burst the LA Confidential bubble, but they have votes like this for many (maybe even all?) unreleased titles. I've seen the same thing for LOTR and Saving Private Ryan. I'd like to think it actually has an effect, but I'm not so sure.

I don't think it's necessary. We've been told it's in the works for all formats, and it was supposed to come out this year. I'm sure they'll release it when they're ready, hopefully early next year. This isn't like Hamlet where they thought there wouldn't be enough interest to release it in HD.

I think this is coming soon. I've even sold off my DVD in anticipation of it.

A SE-DVD edition of it is most definitely upcoming. And so is a HDDVD/BR version according to the French chart I posted earlier.
