Anyways, I got a 40GB PS3 yesterday, and I was wondering if I can get the 5 free Blu-ray discs?

I'm Canadian, just keep that in mind.
Nope. 5 free ended 1/31.

I called again today 2-26 as a follow up to my initial inquiry call on 2-15. On 2-15 they said the movies were shipped that day. As of today nothing in the mail. When I called them today they said to allow 3-4 weeks for USPS 3rd class mail delivery. Then call back after that time period. WTF, 3-4 weeks? Is 3rd class mail the same as Parcel Post? Hell, even Parcel Post is only 5 days. And this is TX to FL for Gods sake. What did they do, put my movies in some illegal immigrants backpack and tell him to hitchhike to FL?

Well so Jamers, I guess I should be seeing mine sometime right around when the next generation of HDM starts hitting the shelves seeing as I mailed mine out today.

Hoping to get:
PotC: Curse of the Black Pearl
Superman
American Psycho
Ultraviolet
The Last Waltz

3-4 weeks is long even for Media Mail and from TX to FL should take time if it was freakin' WALKING to you!

Not to be snooty, but about WHICH of any of the Holiday promotions titles could be said is "selling well"? None of the offered titles are really all that great. Heck Full Metal Jacket has already been re-issued!

I said the same thing. For some reason...it takes about 3 weeks after it's shipped. Give it time, they'll be in the mailbox before you know it!

Just got another card saying my order had been delayed again. Not only did they not give any kind of date this time, but I have to return the postpaid card indicating that I still want my order! Wonder how many people they're hoping to trap with that little wrinkle. Beware!

I got the same card like 3 days ago. Could not believe it. Stunned.

Who won this format war again? I have had both since Day 1 respectively and currently own far more Blu-Rays, but this is crazy. First Sony says that profile 2.0 players will be out for Christmas, and they can connect to the internet (yea!) and cost $500. Welcome to launch day for Toshiba back in March 2006. Must have just hired a terrible rebate operation and I am just blowing off steam, but....I thought Sony had kicked ass and won this thing.

No awesome Amazon Blu-ray sales, no BOGOs, players for XMAS with new limited features for $500, and my 5 free Blu-Rays from like the Fall are still delayed. Cool.

Received mine today, all five I requested. Happy camper here! Sent for it late Nov, so I guess that was about 3 1/2 months.

I bought both the Blu Ray and HD in early December and am waiting for both rebates. I got my first HD rebate for a purchase from November a couple weeks ago, so I'm hoping it won't be too much longer.

Sent my form in at the end of October, received a postcard in January telling me my movies would ship on 2/11. On 2/15 I received the postcard that I had to send back to tell them I was still interested. I called the 800 number and was told they should be getting another shipment of Blu-Ray discs in in the next few weeks and my rebate would ship then.

19 weeks and waiting...

I am still waiting for mine and I sent my stuff in back at the beginning of September. One shipment never made it and have now been waiting since January or so for the second attempt to get out of "In Process"! I have just called them for a second time in as many weeks and they keep telling me that my order is in the "later stages" and should be sent out shortly. The CS lady had no idea what that may mean though and since I was told the same thing about two weeks ago, I am hoping to receive these by year's end.....

How long after you submit it does it typically take to show up in the system?

Me and you are in the exact same boat and their incompetence seems to grow everyday.

On a lark, I went ahead and called to check on the offer that I mailed in around the second week of January. The rep told me she couldn't find anything in the system on it but that she would "send it up to the research team" and I should call back in 7 to 10 days regarding it.

My replacement set finally shipped yesterday after a mere 3 months after I made the call to have them replaced. I hope they didn't strain themselves getting them out the door.

Mine finally showed up. I think I mailed the coupon shortly after Thanksgiving, whenever WalMart had their "secret sale".

Phone rep said it takes 4-6 weeks (after they physically receive it) to get the rebate info entered in the system.

After the rebate is "processed", then it can take an additional 2-3 weeks for you to receive your DVDs in the mail.

Awesome. Just got mine.

American Psycho

The Patriot
Species
Superman

All have their UPCs intact and no issues. That was damned fast. Way to go Buena Vista.

Mid January. Took about 6 weeks. As compared to the 3+ months it took for my MIR HD-DVDs, I was really impressed.
