These lower prices are certainly going to help those in the HD-DVD camp, of which I'm now a part. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on Bluray because I simply can't afford it, and don't wish to have more players.

i think that i'm going to end up pulling the trigger at amazon for the A2. much easier than standing in line for a possible A3 deal to save about $15 after tax.

If those are the only differences I'm pretty shocked they released it instead of just dropping the price on the A2. I really thought there was something else to it, but I can't find any documentation at all.
