Rock/Con Air Blu-Ray Official Announcement?
Guys,
I just noticed that ROCK and CON AIR were added on dvdempire.com. It's under "Recent Additions" and it's under "Added 10/18/2007". Has there been an official announcement on this? Or should I be glad that it's coming out. It's says release date 1-8-2007

This is the text where Blu-Ray.com reported that Buena Vista has officially announced these:
Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced that they have finally rescheduled a trio of action flicks which were postponed earlier this year. 'The Rock' and 'Con Air' will get a Blu-ray release on January 8th, followed the next month by 'Crimson Tide'. No specs have been announced at this time, but expect the usual Disney treatment of AVC video and PCM audio.

Movie Showcase

The Rock World Premiere
Navy Seals On The Range
Hollywood Humphries & Teague
Special Effects For Dive
Action Effects: Movie Magic
Outtakes
Secrets of Alcatraz
Jerry Bruckenheimer Interview
Original Theatrical Trailer
I don't have the Criterion to compare, but I believe nothing is missing... and unless the PQ is greatly improved, I'll be sticking with the import BD. Slight bit of EE but nothing too annoying at all, LPCM ... it's a nice disc.

Man, that is going to be an expensive TUESDAY!!!!
Rock, Con Air, 3:10 to Yuma, Twister!
Hopefully someone will have BOGO Deal. Or maybe BLU-RAY will come down in price for movies after christmas. It seems like there are more and more deals every week on blue-ray.
