Format neutral as of today.

I ordered an HD-A30 player through Best Buy today. I got a copy of Knocked Up and Hot Fuzz for free. I'll also get 300 (which I already have on Blu-Ray) and Bourne Identity. And I will also get the 5 free movies with the mail in offer. I also used a 10% off coupon and snagged this whole deal for 390 after tax. Not bad eh??? Now some of you need to get over yourselves and add a Blu-Ray player to your setup. It doesn't hurt to eat from both sides of the pie.

When an equivilent BluRay deal comes around I'll consider it, but for now the player prices are just too high for my liking.

I was looking at those features and thinking the same thing. However, if I could do a straight trade for The Galapagos disc (preferably on Blu-Ray) that comes out Tuesday then I might just have to let it go.

If Best Buy lives up to the 5 free discs by mail since Toshiba mentions it nowhere on any of their paperwork. Best Buy has to fulfill it since they advertised it. I just got off the phone with Best Buy customer service and they told me that the store has to fulfill this even if Toshiba decides not to.

The free disc offer form is on-line:
http://www.thelookandsoundofperfect....fer_advert.pdf

This offer expired yesterday, but your purchase would qualify. Mailing deadline is 10/31/07.

I don't know if this old offer has been superseded by a new one with a later date but would guess that if it hasn't, it soon will be, due to the competition between the two HD formats.

Edit: Yes, there is a new five free discs offer:
http://thelookandsoundofperfect.com/...ption_form.pdf
The dates are 10/1/07 to 2/28/08, mailing deadline 3/31/08.

The title selection has changed completely (worse, IMO, but others will disagree I am sure):

Category A: Aeon Flux, Babel, or The Italian Job
Category B: The Hulk, Pitch Black, or The Thing
Category C: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Swordfish, or Full Metal Jacket
Category D: Firewall, The Frighteners, or U2: Rattle and Hum
Category E: Black Rain, Darkman, or Troy

The HD-A30 player does qualify for either of the two offers. It all depends on whether you buy the player on or befiore 9/30 or after. I bought the player on 9/30 so I qualify for the old offer.
