*sigh*, if you go BluRay (which I prefer), I'd say get the PS3. That said, you should've just asked "Which color is better, red or blue?"....or "Which party is better, Republicans or Democrats?"...or "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?".

Do you love America? Because if you do, choose HD DVD. If you choose Blu-ray, its because you hate America and want little kids to die.

Ok, seriously....Amazon.com. Look at the available movies...put a list together of which ones you like the most, then buy said format

I'd say look at the list of titles on both formats -- what's out now and what's slated to come out through the end of the year -- and pick the one that looks like it has the most movies you want.

At this point, I'd have a hard time choosing. I'm very happy with both formats, and I'd feel as if I were missing out on too many movies if I chose one over the other. For what it's worth, though, the PS3 is a phenomenal player.

Edited to add: That seems to be the common sentiment, so I guess there's a consensus. These 'versus' sorts of threads tend to go sour pretty quickly, so I'll close this before anything really nasty happens.
