Many of these are from the original list that was circulating over a year ago, but mysteriously disappeared soon thereafter. If all these drop before the end of the year, I will go bankrupt.

Problem is, this list seems to be nothing of note. There's a bunch of stuff liste that hasn't even been released to theaters on the list. I guess this means the stuff is upcoming, but upcoming might mean a year from now.

Some you didn't list:
The Exorcist
The Matrix trilogy (individual releases)
Ocean's 11, 12, 13 (individual or box set)
Friends Complete First Season
No Reservations
They also have movies listed that haven't even been released theatrically yet:
The Brave One
The Assassination of Jesse James
The Dark Knight (Way in Advance!!)
Fred Claus
Get Smart
I am Legend
Michael Clayton
One Missed Call
Speed Racer
And there's a few others that may be new releases of movies I hadn't heard of.

Are these the same releases discussed in the Release Calendar thread?

I am very excited about the Harry Potter box set and/or the individual releases. I think these will be the movies which will be rather amazing when put on HD.

To be clear, none of these titles are yet available for pre-order.

I'll take Batman and the Ocean's flicks, nothing else really interesting to me on the list.

This is the sort of thing I hate about the hi-def "war" - announce upcoming titles but no firm release dates.
Titles like:
Batman
The Wizard of Oz
Heat
L.A. Confidential
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Shawshank Redemption
Twister
would actually get me off the fence I am currently sitting on with respect of hi-def but without actual release dates, sitting on the fence waiting for things to clarify I shall remain.

I would buy Batman only if they went back thru and cgi'd some of the special effects shots.
Recently I just bought and watched the special edition version and some of it just looked absolutely awful, the effects don't hold up at all. I don't think HD will be able to do this justice without alot of additional work.

Alfonso Cuarons A Little Princess is probably the only title on the list that comes as a surprise to me. Everything else is either a foregon conclusion (The Dark Knight, etc) or already widely speculated or expected.
The fact that it is
1) a beautifully crafted film
2) long overdue for a remaster
puts it at the top of my want list now.
Who knows when it will be out though. It is clear some of these titles oare more than a year away at least.
Also happy to see Justice League: The New Frontier listed.
Unfortunately since Superman: Doomsday isn't getting a day and date release with the dvd, I guess we shouldn't be expecting this one to be either.

While I would be excited about many of these titles, this list is no more than a vague plan for WB, if that. It's not a conclusive list of titles for Q4 '07 or 2008, so I'm personally not getting my hopes up or feeling disappointed by it. It's always fun when something like this "leaks" because then we can imagine what these titles would be like in HD, but it's far from a "release schedule."
That said, I would buy many of these titles if/when they come out.

According to thedigitalibts.com Warner Brother's has been given an offer to go HD exclusive that they are 'considering'...
I ordered a PS3 yesterday, but thankfully was able to cancel my order in time. If Warner goes HD only I'm sitting out the hi-def war for atleast another two years... if they stay neutral I'll reorder.

Why wouldn't the PS3 be a compelling purchase without Warner titles?
Why wouldn't an HD DVD for half the price of a PS3 and with Warner titles be a compelling purchase?
I'm a little confused as to your reasoning.

$500 for the player + Fox, Disney, MGM, Sony, and Warner
is desireable
but the thought of $250 for a player + Universal, Paramount, and Warner (exclusively)
would cause him to wait 2 years before getting anything.
What would be the point of getting a PS3 in the first place? wouldn't it be used for gaming? wouldn't that soften the blow of not having Warner content?
And if Warner content was that important to him, why wouldn't paying considerably less for a player to get that and two other major studios be a considered option?
at the risk of reading more into it than there was- it just seems like another person, who has little real world experience with either format, proceeding under the assumption that Blu-ray is destined to be the "winner" and any development contrary to that is just pushing that inevitable occurance off a little farther into the future.

See my problem is that almost 70% of the movies I want are Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox. Also I'll admit that future TV releases are added into that ("Angel" and HBO in HD for one)... When Blu-ray was going to get both Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox it was a good selling point, but adding Disney and Sony into the mix made me make the jump.
Now that Warner Brothers is a question mark, so is probably half of the titles I want to buy, thus I'm waiting it out...
