So is it the proper aspect ratio or not? I picked up an HD player on the weekend so I'm about to grab La Haine. I might pick this up at the same time if the aspect ratio is correct.

To me it looks like this keeps the theatrical ratio largely intact.

I should note I have a DLP set with overscan turned off, so those with different display types may see a little less info around the edges due to overscan on their displays.

EDIT: Also wanted to note that this pic does not 100% accurately represent the way the film actually looks on my display. When I took the pic with no flash, I couldn't even see my bias lighting in the pic, which says to me that overall the screenshot is somewhat darker than it will look on your properly calibrated display.
