I take it back. I CAN hear a difference!

Maxflier 09-05-07 02:25 PM

I'm all over the 2-disc set.
Couldn't care less about TrueHD.

Spiderbite 09-05-07 02:27 PM

Looking forward to it but this may be one to wait for to see if it gets special pricing for Black Friday.

dcprules 09-05-07 02:30 PM

Looks like a good set but I was really hoping for some deleted scenes.

I know an IMAX version of the film is coming out later this month that is extended with deleted scenes added back into the film.

QuePaso 09-05-07 03:10 PM

Well, no TrueHD track makes this release meaningless to me. Now the paramount exclusivity means less then ever. Once you are used to lossless audio, anything else is simply rubbish IMO. Thanks to paramount for softening the blow.

bee_01 09-05-07 03:12 PM

Paramount would be wise to go with 720p video since most people can't tell the difference. That will give us more space for PIP talking heads...we demand more PIP!

Place there by Sony, along side the ICT.

I would've thought it being HD DVD exclusive would make it meaningless to you. When did you become a dual format supporter?

Help. I just rolled my eyes so hard they are stuck!

People are still bitter that Paramount dropped Blu-ray?

You must have an amazing setup and speakers to be able to tell such a drastic difference between TrueHD and DD+. Care to share this amazing set up with us?

It must be even more amazing than what the professional Hollywood sound mixers use.

Stop thread crapping. You've made it clear that you have zero interest in HD DVD, so you're wasting your time and ours by replying in these threads.

RockStrongo 09-05-07 05:25 PM

No TrueHD sucks, but I bet that might change before the release.

Even if it doesn't, Ill still get it, but it is disappointing. Luckily, Paramount releases 1.5 mbps.

asianxcore 09-05-07 05:27 PM

Wow, a lot earlier than I was expecting. Definitely a first day purchase for me.

Supermallet 09-05-07 05:37 PM

Well, no one else may care about the lack of TrueHD, but I'm rather shocked Paramount purposefully kept it off their biggest money maker in years. Here's hoping it's in the works, but not yet announced.

WB did the same with Superman Returns....everyone thought it wasn't going to have TrueHD because it wasn't in the press release. Then, it did have it.

But, since Blades of Glory didn't have it, im a little worried.

Mr. Cinema 09-05-07 06:01 PM

I thought jiggawhat said Transformers would have lossless audio. Can he confirm?

jiggawhat 09-05-07 06:11 PM

I really can't comment anymore on releases now. That's why I've been quiet.

As an aside: I am just as mad as you guys that they didn't include a lossless track. I think for a tentpole release such as this one to not receive a lossless track is really shocking.

Hammer99 09-05-07 06:17 PM

No lossless truly does suck, but not a deal-breaker for me either. I only hope the visuals of the action scenes prove to be top-of-the-line demo-worthy in HD, cause those are the only parts I'll be watching. :D2:

Derrich 09-06-07 06:44 AM

But the box will still transform, right? No transforming box, no sale!

As an obvious blu-only supporter from your other posts, you know full well that the audio format on HD DVD is irrelevant to you. Why waste people's time with these cheap digs?

Adam Tyner 09-06-07 08:49 AM

That post has been addressed, and it shouldn't happen again.
