If you check out half.com and search departed, there is a hd only departed which has a release date of october. i didn't see this on amazon and haven't heard about it. there is artwork that says only hd-dvd too.

The Departed is a WB title, and Warners is releasing several of their former combo titles as non-combo HD DVDs. Don't know what effect this change will have on future releases, but I suspect we'll still see combos from them.

warner has been doing this pretty regular.

superman returns, happy feet, and letter from iwo jima also have releases coming
