Forbidden Planet Tin

I have heard from some people that they bought the Forbidden Planet tin and instead of getting the HD version they got the regular version instead. Has anybody actually got the tin with the HD version inside or the regular dvd. I saw it at best buy and I want to get it on HD.

I ordered mine from Amazon when it came out and it had the HD DVD inside and was labeled outside with a sticker as the HD DVD version.

Mine came with the HD-DVD version but I brought mine from Amazon.com Marketplace as used. It came in mint cherry condition and only cost me $22.98 shipping included.

I started a thread about this a while ago!

I ordered an HD tin from DVD Planet, came with DVDs inside. Friend at work liked it, kept it and ordered me another tin from DeepDiscount.

Needless to say, that also had DVDs inside. We called DD, and they supposedly put a note in the system to check a replacement before shipping.

Received another copy, unopened & unchecked. DVDs!

When we called again, they said they couldn't guarantee to check anything. Money back.

I never did get that set. Useless. I wrote to Warner Bros (you have to write - that dept. doesn't have an email address) and have heard nothing to date.

The tins basically look the same, with the exception on the back of the box, where one notes DVD and the other notes HD DVD. They have different UPCs, of course...but the problems probably have come from warehouse people just grabbing a box and never checking to make sure it was the correct version.

Standard:

Yeah, mine came with an HD DVD. I specifically made sure it was the HD DVD version when I picked it up.

So the HD DVD tin being almost the exact shade of red as HD DVD cases is a coincidence? Heh.
