Strange occurence with Weeds S2 + PS3 (logging)
I put disc 1 of Weeds season 2 (Blu-ray) in my PS3, and everything started as normal. It loaded and the Lions Gate logo started. I pushed the "next" button on the PS3 remote, and in the upper left of the screen in red letters "Logging enabled" flashed, and from there on, in the upper left of the screen in red letters was displayed everything the PS3 seemed to be doing. There were pauses between each action, so it took forever to get through the commentary warning and for the menu to load. Things like "bgMusic_enabled" and "show_menu" were being displayed and the log box that took up about 40% of the height and 35% of the width of my TV screen in the upper left corner.
I ended up just hitting stop, then play again, and this time everything went normally. I still hit the "next" button on the PS3 remote during the LG logo and this time it just advanced instead of enabling logging.
Was there some secret button combo that I accidentally pressed to get that logging thing turned on? I updated to 1.9 yesterday, but didn't see anything in the notes that indicated logging was a new feature.

It sounds like some sort of debug mode the disc authors may have put in for testing. Perhaps you did stumble on some button combination or hit the right button at the right time to enable it. If that's what it is I'm sure someone will duplicate it and report on it.

I got Weeds season 2 disc 2 in the mail today, and had the exact same thing happen as with disc 1. This time I tried to replicate it, and here's what I do to replicate it:
1) The PS3 is off.
2) I insert the disc into the drive (in order to turn the PS3 on).
3) The disc is sucked into the machine and begins to auto play.
4) At the start of the Lions Gate logo (after the three gears with "LOADING" under them, which is the first screen to appear) I hit the "NEXT" button on my PS3 remote, which causes "Logger switched on" to appear in the red letters in the upper left of the screen and displays all further actions the PS3 takes.
I can't get the logger to turn on any other way I've tried (starting the PS3 with the disc inside, having my PS3 on then inserting the disc, etc), but following the above steps turns it on every time. Very odd

I'll have to see if it does it on my copy. I watched the entire season over the last few days and never had this problem. I usually hit the next button too, so maybe I was just lucky.

I just saw in another thread that this title is Lionsgate's first to enable bookmarking, so maybe that's what this is ("logging" to track where you are on the disc, of course). He mentioned that Waiting will have it as well, so try it on that if you get it.
