U Control is a Pain In The Rear!
I've had my HD-DVD drive since Jan. but never really delved much into the special features until now. This weekend I watched Breach and thought it was wonderful and fascinating. Since there was so much information to be provided between the director and the real-life subject of the film, I thought I'd like to explore the special features. I wanted to watch the film again in U Control mode with the director/subject commentary track on. It turns out, every time you branch out to a PiP featurette (which may be only of a few seconds duration) and then it ends, it switches you back to the regular dialog track, requiring you to reset it. Very frustrating.
The U Control feature is beyond stupid. Every time there's a mini-featurette you have to press the button to watch the feature. Every time. You get no clue about what you're selecting to see ; no subject, no run time, but you still have to select it to watch it. Why? If I've selected to watch it with the U Control feature on, it's because I want to see those bits. It's annoying -- almost like if you had to press chapter advance at the end of every chapter while watching a movie. That's not interactive, it's retarded.

i agree the u control is not very well set for ease of use.
if you look away for a moment when the u-c pops up you will miss the beginning of the feature as it does not start from the point you hit the button but plays already in progress.
