I thought I would post this link for all of the HD DVD supporters.

Hmm, played fine for me, and I've watched it several times so far. I see at the bottom of the link you posted that a FW update that fixes that error.

Had no problems with mine either...granted I have a PS3 and not a stand-alone player.

That video is a little questionable if you ask me...why would the guy film it unless he knew he had a faulty disc/player/bad upgrade disc?

I don't know about you, but I always film myself when I do a firmware update on my PS3. Makes for really enjoyable future viewing.

I haven't tried the games on either POTC discs. I doubt I ever will.

My only beef with these discs is they took forever to load, about as bad as the first wave of Genius HD-DVD's on the A1.

This article is from June 7th, and I really haven't read any threads or articles in regards to this problem since then.

I dunno, I may videotape myself next time. But not of me downloading a firmware upgrade. I was thinking of watching myself looking at paint dry on my walls.

Well, since this issue seems to have been resolved, I think this thread can safely be closed.
