Question about HDDVD/BR and 720p projector
forgive my ignorance, but if i have a projector that outputs 720p, is it worth it to get an HDDVD/BR player since it won't out put 1080? i already have an upconverting player.

Well, 720P > 480P upconverted. Do you have HDTV? Keep in mind HD DVD/BD looks better and sounds better than HDTV. And the sound on HD DVD/BD can be a huge upgrade if you've got the system to take advantage of it.
If you like HDTV on your projector, I would upgrade. If you can't tell the difference between HDTV and a DVD on your projector, don't bother.

Yes, Yes, Yes. Go for it. 1080p projectors are out of most everyone's price range. Meanwhile a 720p digital projector, with a reasonable screen (I recommend www.carada.com ) and a Blu-Ray or Hd-DVD player run with HDMI will be AWESOME. I have all of the above and it is fantastic at 124 inches. Noticeable difference from any dvd. Noticeable difference from any cable or satellite tv. Just buy a ps3 and be done with it I guess. Otherwise a dirt cheap hd-dvd player. Both are great.
