Why don't these guys play fair? Why are these scumbags trying to drive HD-DVD out of business? Maybe Bill Hunt can answer these questions if he has any guts left. Wow, Old Chuckles. You spew inane vitriol and accuse me of attacking? i was simply trying to provide a bit of clarity on how this all started.

Control your mind? Not interested. Scumbag? Been called worse.

As for the machinations of a major entertainment company, you should leave that to the me because your assertions have zero basis in fact. Just like I'd defer to you about cheese or anything else related to Wisconsin.

Now go on your predictable rant. I'm out of here.

Well I for one welcome our new corporate overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted internet personality, I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground factories.

Thanks for being honest. I would assume that you have been called a lot worse than anything I could come up with.

The only one here who has been ranting is you, Mr. FOX EXECUTIVE. Also, I would rather be known as a "cheese-head" than a "shit-head" who arranges Las Vegas "parties" for a living!

This post proved you clearly are not a Fox executive.

What kind of a company executive would act like that? It's anything *but* professional. He does have good sentence structure, though.

I'm amazed at how people think "executives," "lawyers," or "doctors" should act on a Sunday afternoon/evening.

Some folks claim I'm not a physician because I wrote, "LOL" and "OMG" before. As if once we sign a contract to be an executive, lawyer, or physician we can no longer screw around, have a sense of humor, be down to earth, or just generally fuck around, etc.

Brother, the crap is really getting deep in this thread. Now, Mr. FOX EXECUTIVE is hyping the HD-DVD party in Las Vegas, and claims to personally own an HD-player! Sheesh!
If "Fox Executive" is who I think he is, I would be surprised if he DID NOT have a HD DVD player. Just because his company does not support the format does not make him any less a movie fan. And I can personally vouch for the fact that a lot of movie fans got a lot of stuff on DVD because this guy (if that's him) loves movies as much as any one here.

I was directed to this thread for a good chuckle, and much of it has been entertaining. However, that last couple of posts to the Fox guy are just bad manners and are inexcusable. I had hoped DVD Talk would be a more pleasant place to post than AVS has become, but now, I dunno.

I agree. I prefer dvd talk to most dvd forums on the net and visit the site at least 4 to 5 times a day. But there are some serious vitriolic posts in this thread that aren't even funny. It seems like most everyone attacking Bill Hunt are doing it with such passion as if he insulted their family.

Bill has brought it on himself. The difference I see between the treatment afforded Bill and the Fox guy in this thread is the Fox guy is just doing his job and Bill is, at least perceived to be NOT doing his, which is to maintain some journalistic objectivity. I completely understand the owner and staff of this forum reacting to Bill Hunt the way they do because, as they very accurately pointed out, Bill Hunt's trashing his own reputation also reflects badly on all those trying to provide some sort of objective journalism on the internet.

Is it time for me to create a new account as "Sony Executive" and defend Bill Hunt?

This is the greatest thread evar.

Also want to add that the crack firesale comment by "Fox Executive", is a prefect example of why I will never buy into Blu-Ray. The arrogance of the BDA and their underhanded tactics make me sick.

It seems to me that the only fair thing to do here is to have "Fox Executive" help me reach the appropriate contact at his company regarding a graphic design job. That way, I could get the position I've been looking for, I will be able to confirm that "Fox Executive" is indeed a Fox executive, and we could all end the thread on a happy note.

It wouldn't shock me if "Fox Executive" is a HD-DVD fanboy posting nonsense with a BS account to stir the rest of them up...

Nothing is worse than the HD section of AVS. NOTHING. This is what occurs in EVERY thread there. The difference is that here the mods will actually delete posts and ban people.
