Any news on The Nightmare Before Christmas on Blu-ray?

Has anyone heard anything? I have searched but have found nothing so far.

No announcement so far. Disney is slow to roll out their animated titles on new formats. It took them forever to put many of their classics on DVD. I'd expect the same here.

I would love to have Nightmare Before Christmas in HD. The non-anamorphic DVD breaks my heart a little every time I look at it on the shelf.

I am a huge Tim Burton fan, but somehow I have never seen this movie. I really liked The Corpse Bride, but I can not bring myself to blind buy the OOP non-anamorphic Nightmare DVD. I have seen the shorts included on that disc and I really like "Vincent" as well. I thought the 3D theatrical release would at least bring us an updated DVD. I guess I will just wait patiently for the Blu-ray release.

I hope we see an anamorphic release soon that ports all of the extras over. It really bugs me when they shaft Blu-ray (or HD) owners on the special features that are available on the SD versions.

Sure does. I'm sitting on an HD recording of it until a decent hoem video release comes out. Looks pretty good too, although not nearly as 3D looking as Corpse Bride.

Sure wish I had Starzz HD. My wife commented yesterday on just how 3D Corpse Bride looks on Blu-ray. We just bought a copy of it yesterday and she was amazed.

I wouldn't expect it for a while since Disney is rolling out the 3D DLP version again this Fall.

Actually that would be a good time for them to promote and sell this movie on Blu-Ray. Use the theatrical re-release to garner interest and hopefully stimulate sales of this movie.

Sure, I enjoy watching my BD of CORPSE BRIDE, but I would love to upgrade my non-anamorphic DVD of NIGHTMARE.
